    Hi Mac and Katherine,
I just listened to your latest podcast and could feel your pain in the experience of going to the post office! Last week, I was on my way to our small friendly neighborhood post office, but there was construction preventing me from going that way. Instead I went to the larger suburban post office. There was one woman behind the counter and a line of four waiting. The first customer was with her newborn baby and 22-month-old daughter. Her husband had her run this errand to mail a play station and some videos. The post office worker asked her to step aside because the package had to be placed in a different mailing box. The customer’s baby began crying as his mother struggled to fit the play station into the new package. She was getting more and more frustrated to the point that she was crying. No one was helping so I left my place in line. The customer decided to give up and have her husband go another day without the kids in tow. I helped the woman find her misplaced keys, carry the box to the car and get the toddler into her car seat. I returned to the post office and the line was now at a dozen people long. The people at the front of the line where I was standing with them pretended not to see me and wouldn’t let me back in line, so I left. I decided the Lord must have brought me to that post office to assist this young mom and that was that. The DMV used to be the most painful place to spend an hour but the post office is possibly surpassing it!

Thanks for sharing all of the joys and lows of family life with us. God bless your family at the holidays!
